I'm not here humping my CSVT and dropping drool smilies for every Zetec ATX thats on this site. Contour is definitely mass produced and they don't excite me either.
and btw i would hardly compare a shop full of 400+ horsepower cars to an atx zetec(no offense)

I don't plan on ever owning a Mustang, stock or modded. I've driven SN 95's & Fox Body's and find the interior archaic, the seats trash, the shifter unwieldly and the build quality horrendous. Lets not forget the piss-poor handling.
I agree the Mustangs have a great aftermarket and its a good place to start for cheap HP and a fast ride. But everyone has one and for $5K you have 400HP, so even 400HP Stangs arent that special to me.
Going to classic car-shows has turned me even more off to the mass produced mustang as wall-to-wall they are on every corner. Mustangs have always been mass produced and not a niche car, but to me, that adds to there lack of personality.
Been to two Stang speed shops for Dyno days, APEX and another in San Ramon. Saw multiple Cobrs put down 400 and saw Saleens, Roush's and even a Cobra R to boot. My dick didn't get hard then and it never will for a Stang. WS6's do get a small rise out of me though 
And for your GTO comment, my opinion, I like it a whole helluva lot better than the Mustang.
