Well I want to drop a 2.5L engine and auto trans into my 1995 ford contour gl zetec auto and I am getting the engine and trans together I figure the wiring harnesses are different but I can get a complete wiring harness and computer for 80 bucks the engine and trans only have 42k miles on them while my car the miles are at 157k now and its getting up there 2nd to 3rd tranny slip along with valve noise (real bad when 1st started) would this fit pop right into my car or not i can get my hands on the headers back also The engine and trans are from a 1998 non-svt and my car is a 1995 thanks for the help!

Search and you will find the answer it has asked many times about switching 2.0 to 2.5

sorry to say buddy, but I think you need to find anything 95 Engine and Trannie. I guess its possible, but probibly more expensive because of the differences between the 98 2.5l and the 95 2.5L, that and the fact that the whole system in the 95 is OBD1 where as the 98 is going to be OBD2.
