Blowing out bottom-ends is a fairly common (and obviously very serious) problem that many VQ35 owners have encountered. If you're not sure what I'm referring to, simply run a search on any number of Nissan forums. Will every VQ35 blow up with a turbo on it? No. But I would certainly be worried about doing it with as many occurences of blown engines as there has been with doing much less than that.
