My family members have had a GM product or two that did it too. For us, the CEL would come on, and stay on. We'd take it to the dealer, and no codes were present. In all three cases, after several trips to the dealer, they found a short in the wiring behind the gauge cluster that caused the CEL to illuminate. Once they corrected the short, everything worked fine.



Only way to know for sure is to pull the codes from the ECU.
