Our cable is only supposed to be 1mb down, but considering I have had downloads going over 250K/sec that equates to over 2mb.

how do you get all that info??
Click on the toast.net link provided in the first post. Top right corner is a performance test link. On the test page, select what test you want to run, then click on the "run test" button at the bottom of page. Your result for the test will show up in a few seconds.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
