I highly recommend JVC CD decks, especially the higher-end units. I have used JVC in every SQ competition I've entered and I think I've done pretty well.

Also, one of the car audio magazines just tested one of JVC's higher-end decks (last month in Car Audio & Electronics, I think) and it turned out to be one of the best they had ever tested.

I personally would pick JVC over Pioneer based on performance any day of the week.
