I did use the Tirerack reviews to choose my last two sets of tires, but after both wore too quickly, it's hard to even go by those. The ratings on the Sport A2s were great a year ago...but if you look at them now, they're flooded with people complaining about tread wear...it takes time for these reports to come through.

I bet those people were putting the Sport A2's on cars that needed a higher performance tire then compained when a tire half the price of the one they should have gotten didn't live up to the other one ... that is why I suggested reading reviews from contour owners only

I'll attest to this method. A lot of people sang praises about the Yok Avid Touring, but the Windstar owners said they wore too fast. I got the Bridgestone Turanza LS-T instead (for my Windstar) and have been very happy.

And I saw plenty of negative comments about the Sport A2's a year ago--enough to tip the balance to some other tire. (Still haven't purchased...)

Anyway, find at least similar cars and read those--FWD, sedans, similar weight class or manufacturer, etc. And then call Luke.

Then come on CEG and ask...oh wait, you did that.
