Rawburt - yes you will have to cut or dremel the tabs on the front. Per Stazi's suggestion I bent the mesh to the shape of the grille opening and then lined it up with the top middle 2 tabs. I had to trim the mesh on one side afterwards as it curves sightly upwards after assuming the shape of the grille.
It's a very tight fit on the tabs after you get it on, trust me you won't need anything else to hold it in place. Oh and I personally couldnt figure out how to get the stock mesh out without destroying it.
Hey Stazi - is there any point to those deflector-thingys on the sides of the stock mesh?

A little confused there...

They're supposed to deflect the air towards the radiator more, but I've been without them for years and noticed nothing different.

One of mine were broken, too. I used JB weld epoxy and a piece of lexan on the underside of the tab to reinforce it. It seems to be actually stronger than the original plastic.

LOL, Same here. I just ignored them. It holds just as good without them, as long as you put the screws back on.

There are only 2 tabs, and they're up top. How many could you be missing?
Another option is to make metal tabs from metal strapping, and JB weld those onto the remaining tab.
