Well... let's first consider the $6000 price difference between a loaded Mazda6s Sport and the base price of the GTO.
That said, I think the "fashion designer" interior of the 6 is at least of equal quality as the GTO (the GTO I drove had an interior rattle and a structure dash creak with under 300 miles on it), has more features, has better ergonomics, and yes... has real style and ambience.
Between little things like the ersatz GM cruise switches on the turn signal, the unlabeled trunk release button in the glove compartment to botched Americanization like the fuel cell in the trunk and not moving the parking brake lever to the left side of the console to glaringly missing features like a moonroof... the car doesn't add up.
