That's it in a nutshell what every new GTO owner has told me about the car. It has a lopey idle and the whole car kinda shakes when at a stoplight. That's what my old big block 4-4-2 used to do
hell! my saab can do that! just unplug one of the vaccuum lines and it gets really "lopey"!!!

Go drive one then come back and bad mouth it. It's a real performer - hence why they race the fuggen things in Australia!
I did drive it before I bad mouthed it... nobody has carped on the cheap GM-parts bin interior yet...
Oh... on the journalists... they always seem to think alike and almost always in ways that I highly disagree with.

People [censored] that the GTO has bland styling and that is why it is not selling well, but look at the best selling cars in this country.

I don't believe you've even been within 10 feet of one at this point. Thre GTO's interior shares nothing with any other US GM car... maybe the ignition cylinders and some bulbs.
Many of the interior pieces are leather (shifter, e-brake, steering wheel, etc...) and it all flows very well. It's a friggin VW inside.

Sounds like someone's just parroting back what Top Gear said about the Corvette, to me.

No doubt. Although the Corvette does use tha Malibu's steering wheel which annoys me. GM is taking great strides to bring it's interiors up to the same level Ford has reached. They still have some ways to go, but in some of the newer offerings, you'd be hard pressed to find the GM in the GM.
Top Gear has and always will badmouth the Corvette and other GM cars. When the Z06 comes out and lists at the top three on thier little chart they will still badmouth it. I still love to watch that show though, I just know what to believe and what not to.

Yeah, but the best selling cars in the country are more practical family cars and don't cost $30k with a gas guzzler tax. See, Camry, Accord, Taurus, Mustang....
