Dayum! Glad you are ok, this sounds cliche, but it's what's most important.
Trunk leak should be an easy fix, as you've already searched old posts. I spent about an hour on it and just siliconed all the possible culprits (side trunk vents, tailights, my trunk rubber seal because it'd come off before), no problems since - and it was a real sieve before.
