I wasn't talking about legalizing, I was talking about de-criminalizing. There is a difference. Leagalizing is like you can go to your local drug store and pick up some heroin and weed. De-criminalizing is lessening the sentences and harshness of being caught with these drugs. For example, a man gets caught with heroin. Instead of throwing him in prison which won't help anyway, we put him in a treatment program. We try to make them better. Locking these people up isn't going to do anything.




Yeah that is what we need, to pay to have people treated for an illegal substance, when many after the treatment centers go right back out and buy drugs.

Im not saying that imprisoning people will solve anything, however letting people know that its ok to break the law because all that will happen is you get to go to a free clinic for a couple months DEFINATLY wont help.
