the only thing that legalizing drugs is going to do is give the government more money, and i don't think that is a bad thing. put it this way, all of the illegal drugs sold in america are sold tax free. obviously if you are selling drugs illegaly, you're not going to give the government taxes for it. but if the government were to legalize said drugs, then they could control the sale and price of said drugs. if they were to say set the price of something that sells now for $100 at say around $65 or $75, then the dealers would go broke, who would buy from them for $25-$35 more when they can go to the local pharmacy and spend less? the government would be making tax dollars on the sale of the drugs, and would be spending less on prisoners.
i don't think coke should be legalized, but maybe others
