read the initial post correctly and stop posting ignorant biased opinions. The focus was rated just below the civic for the 2003 model in terms of quality.
Here is a site that lists all recalls for the 2003 Ford Focus. Notice how there are NO recalls. All the quality issues were with the 2000-2002 Foci.
newer Foci (2003+) are nice cars (my sister owns a 2003 ZX5) and very reliable.
