I am guessing you are better off driving the car. Especially if the car already has some miles on it. I am not sure it will ever obtain the classic status like some cars have, but I think it will still have appeal to car enthusiasts much the same way the older supra turbos and nissan z's do...but not to that extent.

Not a day goes by that I see at the very least ten other Contours on the road (there are many on campus too) with me, but when visiting Virginia I was amazed at the lack of Contiques. Depends where in the country you are. Also why some people get the "what is that?" question when showing their car. You don't really get that around here.

The thread says SVT's not barnyard Contiques. Either way I don't think it matters to much on value.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

read who i was replying to. he said contours, and just drive regular contour. And svt on outward appearance is just a kit, and people dont know the difference between the svt escort/taurus/contour from any of our other escort/tauruses.

The title specifically states "SVT" of which there are under 11000 on the road.
Probably even less then that.
I still don't see ever being a "collector's" car. At best a niche' market car for those that know about it and why it was built. (i.e. .001% )
For that matter 99% of the cars made in the last 3 decades WILL NEVER be "classics"
2000 SVT #674

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
