Might be the animal lover in me (I still hunt), but I would have checked to make sure the animal was ok. Here in Michigan killing an animal and not reporting it is like hitting a human being and not reporting it...Just my opinion, and it really doesn't matter that much
Beside if it were dead I would have strapped it to the car and made me some jerky...(even animal lovers have to eat)
