After reviewing the event many times via TIVO, Ron Artest didn't really "hit" the first guy he went after. He mushed him in the face. Pete was right, that dude's face was PRICELESS.
However, it was still an assault, and in that instance Artest was wrong, period.

O'Neal was in his right to blast that fan. He came onto the court. Does anyone here remember a couple years back in baseball when a fan came outta the stands onto the field? I don't remember which team, but the outfielder took off his glove and DROPPED the guy!
Baseball actually stood by him. I agree with that notion. If you come onto the players sanctuary, then you deserve your ass whoopin'. However, unprovoked or whatever, doesn't give the player a right to go in the stands and pummel fans. The suspensions handed down should rival Sprewell's. Man, just when I thought I'd never seen anything like the Sprewell incident again....
