actually, you could both be arrested for battery; you moreso than him. you have the right to defend yourself in an equal amount of force. someone throws a drink at you does not equate to you punching him. what would your defense in court be? self-defense? i dont think that would fly. you were partially correct in your statement. the law does allow you to defend yourself if you feel a battery is imminent. so, i guess in that sense it could possibly be justified. in the basketball player's situation, he could not say that he felt a battery was imminent. IMO the guy deserved to get decked! i was cracking up when that guy came onto the court and was ready to throw down. kinda like that little annoying kid challenging the school bully at lunch. that guy was trespassing by stepping onto the court and im sure he'll be tossed into the clink. too bad he'll still probably get a Mil for it. i dont remember where, i think on the back of the ticket, it says at Dodger stadium it is a violation of an LA civil code to go onto the field during a game and you WILL be arrested for it.
None of those fans have any chance of getting any money from ANY of those players. The FANS were clearly in the wrong on this one.
F-Detriot!
you dont have to be in the right to get money outta someone, dont you watch the news/read the newspaper?
