Im wiring up some fog lights today and i didnt want to use the plug that came with the car (00 se) because it didnt have juice. So i went to autozone and picked up 2 headlight sockets and am going to use those (i bought them and screwed with them before i realized i had them already). But, before i wire it all up, i need to know if fog lights have a polarity? Or do i just hook up positive to one and ground to the other wire? If it does have polarity, how do i tell which is which (im using my own connectors and wire)?

thanks

Good to know. But how do i know which pin on the bulb is + and which is ground? Should i just hook up a 12v power supply to it and see which way it works (i tried in on a headlight bulb and it turned on either way).

Not sure how your exact application is (and even if I did, I'm not all that great with this stuff), so can't really tell ya. I just added stock foggies to my car and wired them with a relay to battery and use headlights as the switch, pretty simple.

Thanks for the link kremit. Im using the bat fog lights and bulbs and am running my own wire since i dont want to mess with the original harness (putting a switch on the middle of the cupholder and a fuse near the battery). I went and got a bulb out of the car and wired it up to a 12 power supply and it lit up either way i put it. Would i be safe in assuming that i can wire it up either way then (even after reading the site)?

thanks

I just hooked them up the way the link said to. Here's another link you may find helpful.
