I am a new member of Contour.org. I have been searching the site for information on how to remove the door panels (front and back). I have seen many postings that state this information can be found in the FAQ, How-to section. I have not, however, been able to find the instructions. Is that information still available on the site? If so, where? Thanx.

found that in the *gasp* audio FAQ thread at the top of the page. c'mon, did you really search? do one for door AND panel in the audio forum, I'm positive you can find more detailed descriptions

Thanks for the help. Yep, I actually did search, but based on the info I had I searched the the How-to section. That is where all of the posts I saw pointed to.

its kind of a pain doing it he 1st time...I just the fronts about a week ago. make sure you get all the screws.

1)Several around the door jam

2)one inside the door lever you use to open the door(you need to pry off the little cap behind the lever to get to the screw)

3) there is 2 inside the the door handle bar (when you look at it there is a long plastic piece set into the handle. DO NOT PRY IT OFF! instead look under it. At the bottom right at about 5 o'clock there is a square hole. Use a tiny flat head screw driver to stick up the hole and the long plastic piece will pop off the handle. Once popped off you can use your hands to take it off the rest of the way. Then take out the 2 screws

4) Lastly, this one can be a pain. If done wrong you could butcher your interior mirror cover. Look at the A-pillar, by it you will see the mirror gaurd. Look closely on the face of it and you will see a little plastic circle. You will need to pop this plug out to get to the last screw. Best thing I have found to work is gently stick a very thin and pointy knife in to try to pry it out. take out screw

5) lift door panel up and forward and should come right off.

Havent done back doors, figured I'd save you some searching time for the fronts by giving you the "how to". goodluck
