I don't buy that for a second.

My 2.5L had more HP then your 3L and no way it could get close to 160mph actual speed. It may have crested 150 and "maybe" into the low 150's but I always estimated about 150mph as it's limit. (6mph over stock for 45-50 extra HP)

My 3L probably can't even make 160mph though it may be close.

"Without a dyno" my 3L has about 6mph trap speed on my 2.5L so the HP gain is very significant so add that into the equation.

I've had my 3L to ~6300rpm in 3rd which equates to roughly 148-150mph. It was pulling well but I don't know about gaining another 10+ mph...

You aren't going by the very inaccurate speedometer are you?

Don't you have different size tires and the Zetec gear as well??? That would throw it off exponentially and it's already notoriously over inflated above 70-80mph.

Intresting info demon, i posted in the dyno and thread forum....and yes i was going by the speedo...if you read my info in the dyno and thread forum, i started becasue i wanted to find out how accurate or inaccurate the speedo really is....and honestly, what speed to you think i really achived?
Personaly it felt like 160mph, as like i satted before i ahve been in many cars that have achived 160mph. Giving its not an accurate way of messurement, but its my only way. hence the reason for the topic in dyno and drag...
