Hmm. I didn't get a specific code. I guess I should have done that. The service manager used the word "meltdown," so I assume that either he meant that the circuit board had failed electronically, or that it literally got cooked physically underneath that plastic cover.
I usually DIY in these cases, but it was one of those times where the car was at the garage already, I had already paid for the diagnostic computer hook-up and related labor, and I am travelling this weekend (with the car), didn't have time to fix it soon, and didn't want to gamble on driving a long distance with it in its "meltdown" state.
