I replaced the waterpump on my 99 Contour SE Sport (v6) this last weekend. It was a white plastic one, but showed no trouble signs. I tapped a little and still no cracks or anything, but you never know what condition the internal structure was in. It took me a few hours, but wasn't that awful with the help of my dad. Now I have that piece of mind that I shouldn't have to worry about my new Duropro metal pump. I also need to have 45,000 mile services done on it, but one thing at a time. Anybody else been able to have this peace of mind recently?
