HAHA!! I remember that!
I just pulled a lenghth of EGR vac hose off an old Mercury V-8. I can plug it into anything & apply vac as needed. Pick up a couple feet of vac hose from your local auto parts store for $2 or less and use that.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
