Pull the vacuum line to the egr valve and see if the idle smooths out. if it does, the egr vacuum regulator is probably messed up. Also, the egr valve may be stuck partially open. You can check this by feeling the egr pipe after a short idle time (about a minute). Be careful! it may be very hot. I would expect that the dpfe sensor is bad, though.
