I did e-mail him... I also found the zipcode of Brighton, MI. The problem is that on UPS's webpage, the max weight for a package is 150lbs, and max over volumn is 130 cu. in. The spec the seller gave was well over the max anyway.

It's at $305 right now... not worth it for a non rebuildable engine when you can get a good core 3 liter block with damaged heads cheaper. I'm out of the bidding...

Yeah, I got some bolt-ons.

Which means one of two things... Either the seller doesn't know what he's talking about or he has a secret way around the weight limit of some sort. Freight was the only way I could find to ship complete engines when I was getting set up to do it... $$$ Cost to about 3 states away was right around $350.$$$ It aint going to be cheap...

Any aluminum engine left outside, even for just a couple of days will have the surface dust on it. Nothing to really worry about. At the current price, it's still BARELY worth the asking price if it's a local buyer only. Shipping for this thing will run minimum $100, even for those with good connections to freight shippers. The motor won't run again, look at it as parts for an SE. Buy the whole engine and have them just ship you the intakes and cams. Heck, the cams are $1200 new themselves...
