... the "updated cupholder" solves all these problems. The price is worth it if you use the cupholders often, especially the right side.
No true way to fix it unless you build walls on the right side to hold the drink, which is essentially a ghetto version of the updated cupholder part. The updated cupholder is a drop-in fix, no hard work to install.
Is there a specific reason you don't want the updated cupholder?
