And (from what I've seen) actually look pretty cool, too.

Wierd... i dont have one of those!
I refer y'all to this topic (Rawburt - you posted in said topic so you should know this!)
As for me, bottled water and 20oz soda is where it's at! Medium and large sodas from fast-food places seem to fit fine as well. 12oz cans are too thin to fit without wobbling.
I'm not sure what that has to do with anything but thanks man!

Been there boys, the passenger side I'd like to bore a hole through the floor!!!!It took me two times till I learned to The first was a hot coffee, in the passenger side hit the corner and she flips out and stays closed although the coffee was spraying out the vent hole pretty good, I almost got in an accident as I had just vaccumed and cleaned everything.. The next time the cup exploded and coffee was everywhere, I have never put a thing in there again.. I gues the moral of the story is avoid the small one or drive slower.. LOL

I found out that 1L Dr. Pepper. bottles from around here fit with slight resistance from the plastic trim under the radio. Works great for me!
Seems to be only the bottles here. Heading to Iowa, the bottles ended up being a hybrid Pepsi 1L bottle without the curved lines (way too tall), then in Iowa the bottles were the same shape as here, but were a bit slimmer and taller (maybe 1/4" taller, but it makes the diff of fitting or not!).
Reading the lid, Dr. Pepper here is bottled by a Coke bottler. I'm wildly guessing the ones shaped like 1L Pepsi bottles (with the big opening, even) were bottled by Pepsi.

Interesting thought
Ya, I have the 96 where I guess it used to have a single cupholder that would robotically pop out and hold your drink but its just a springy stub now.

i wonder if the '96 can be converted (somehow) to be like the 98+svt..... im tired of just beiing able to fit nothing but 8oz cans of coke there and hold everything else between my legs.......or the passenger holds it....... passengers make good cup holders.
