the bush admin re-packaged this war pretty well after it became obvious the wmd thing wouldn't stick. that really pissed me off, but even more so because a lot of people bought it without question.
i bet if the US had originally tried to go to war on the pretense of the "liberation of iraq" bush would've been laughed off of the planet.
as far as volunteering to fight in any war...i'd try to join the military in a second to protect our homeland if another nation attacked us first OR the US was in imminent and legitimate clear and present danger from the nation in question.
