Red1998SVT returns to ignore an entire thread and spew the garbage we became so familiar with in the weeks leading up to the election.

I do live by my word!
Get back to me when you think the UN should as well. Based on you argument, why should we hold all Americans to a standard the world leaders don't hold themselves too.
A blanket statement like of pro-war implies we run around looking for war. We are doing basically the same thing in Iraq that we did in Afganastan. Except Saddam was bribing world leaders and killing more of his own people.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

With the way you talk all he can do is make assumptions.
Your anti-war b.s. is finally getting called out for what it is worth and I am glad to see that.
I am going to break it down short and sweet. None of you know what I did in attemp to serve my country. Being sent home because my legs and my inner ear failed on me was quite upsetting. E1, I know all about the Medical boards. Hell, I fought with the medical doctors for over 6 months and I was as well sent to a rehab unit. While I was waiting for word from the board I was sent to do office work in crutches.
It was quite upsetting seeing my flight graduate.
Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

i guess i can't have an opinion either as partial color blindness and very pressure sensitive ears ended my talks with the navy.
Both of you are dodging the question. No one said your opinion "wouldn't count" if you didn't volunteer for military service. Hypocrites still get to vote, and they still have all the same first amendment rights as anyone else. So go ahead and spout your pro-war views all you want. It's just that no one gives any credibility or respect to hypocrites.

What is this load of crap?
Clinton established the military pay increases from 1998 until 2008 (maybe '06, I don't remember exactly). Every single pay raise, minus a 2.4% increase above and beyond what Clinton allocated 2000 that Bush added to meet the federal requirements, was put into place by Clinton during his term. So out of the last 4 years, 19% of the pay increases were put into the budget by the Clinton administration. Only 2% was added by Bush.
Clinton was far from a savior and made some crappy decision, but he was certainly not 'defeating all pay increases' for the military. Much like the economy, Presidents have little to do with military spending which is budgeted over a large period of time. Only every other President gets to make a whole new budget from scratch depending who is single or double term.
Bush gets credit for pay raises that the Clinton administration put in the budget and people hate Clinton for the military cuts that Bush '41 put into effect (not that Clinton couldn't have repealed these decisions because he could have if he wanted to). Bush '41 stood in front of the country in a State of the Union address and announced plans to cut military technology spending and reduce the size of the military by over 30% by 1997 -- of course in 1992 Clinton became President and he's the one that got 'blamed' for all the cuts over the next few years. He did thankfully have the foresight to increase the budget for military technology research which has been an asset in our fighting recently.

DING-DING! We have a winner. That is WHOLE DAMN point. Put up or shut-up. If you don't then your opinion does not mean a damn. I never said I was Anti-War. The war against the Bin Laden is valid but I still don't see the reasons why Iraq had to be invaded. This is another discussion all together.

Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Antonio said "pro war" that means someone that loves war and fighting other countries.
Originally posted by Red1998SVT: Haven't you heard about the severe shortage of recruits, Andy? Almost all the the armed services are falling WAY below recruiting goals, and they are stretched very thin. It's all over the news, Andy, and you know it. Your country NEEDS YOU NOW. As Antonio said, if you believe in the war so fervently, then JOIN THE ARMED SERVICES NOW. If you are an able bodied person of military age, and you don't join, then you are a hypocrite. Face it Andy. You are saying you favor the war, and it is vitally important, but you are also saying the war is not important enough for you to risk your life in it.
That is so stupid. As has been said time and time again; you can be for something without doing it yourself! Aren't you pro-gay marriage?? So does that mean you have to marry gay? Everyone that thinks the war in Iraq is the right thing to do does not need to enlist.

It was a very assinine post. All hes trying to do is piss people off with ignorant comments. He loves doing that topics like race, politics, etc.
"Moore has also accused the American people of being the stupidest, most naive people on the face of the Earth. And after last weekend, he's got the box office numbers to prove it!"

Hrmm 92-96, that's 4 years of stagnation before he finally did something. Increasing came only after he had a huge budget surplus to burn. The surplus was due to the tech boom which he taxed the hell out of. He got lucky with the times.
