With the way you talk all he can do is make assumptions.

Your anti-war b.s. is finally getting called out for what it is worth and I am glad to see that.

I think I made it rather clear that I do know what I am talking about when it comes to seperation from the Marine Corps. Once you sign the dotted line, there are 4 ways out of the Marines:

1) Fulfil your enlistment requirements
2) In a bag, draped with a flag
3) PEB
4) Whine and cry to mommy, in which case you are considered a [censored] by all Marines, who couldn't hack it.

i guess i can't have an opinion either as partial color blindness and very pressure sensitive ears ended my talks with the navy.

I'd likely serve in intell or technical. Hell I'm going to work for the military as a contractor.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Actually, IIRC, I (the military) got one of our largest pay raises under Clinton.

As for 'health' conditions, if you want in bad enough, you usually can get around certain things. One of the guys in my squadron had flat feet, I knew a couple of people with Asthama. Just an FYI. ;-)

I think it's becuase the military has finally been allowed to pay it's personal their worth. Clinton defeated all pay increases for military.

Oh, and to answer your question; I will be applying for OTC when I am done with college next December to be a pilot for the Air Force or Reserves. And I am 100% for the war in Iraq.

I was not making valid excuses!

I think the raise was only after several years of stagnation and closing of bases.

I do not believe this is correct. There have been 4 total pay raises under the Bush admin so far, plus the housing allowance increases, and increased construction of on-base housing. I was active under Clinton, and do not remember the big pay raise, but I do not recall the % increases, either. (Just saying you could still be right, but I'd have to see the #'s...)

Andy, you are fully aware that when Antonio said "pro-war", he was referring to those who are in favor of the WAR IN IRAQ. That means YOU.

When Antonio said "pro-war" he was NOT referring to "people who are in favor of all wars" (Who would that be anyway, besides Pol Pot and Genghis Khan?). You chose to dodge his question by twisting it around to make it mean something else. You couldn't face your own hypocracy, so you took the coward's way out.

Huh?

Haven't you heard about the severe shortage of recruits, Andy? Almost all the the armed services are falling WAY below recruiting goals, and they are stretched very thin. It's all over the news, Andy, and you know it. Your country NEEDS YOU NOW. As Antonio said, if you believe in the war so fervently, then JOIN THE ARMED SERVICES NOW. If you are an able bodied person of military age, and you don't join, then you are a hypocrite. Face it Andy. You are saying you favor the war, and it is vitally important, but you are also saying the war is not important enough for you to risk your life in it.

Tell us, Andy, what is "assinine" (sic) about Antonio suggesting to you that your actions should match your words?

That wasn't my point, my point was, if you want in, usually you can get around certain things.

I think its 00's pay raise, and I thought it was 6% which at the time, IIRC, was the 'highest' pay raise in X numbers of years. I got out in '01 (the first time) so I'm not sure on the latest...
