If you believe so much in the cause then sign up.

I support agriculture, but I don't want to be a farmer.

People can support our military action but not want to be soldiers. The idea of war scares the hell out of most people. This is more reason to respect and honor everyone who has given their life for our country, because most people do not or can not do it.

This is another lame attempt to build an argument against war. This is all built on the premise that individuals are sent to die on the field of battle, without giving respect to the cause. God bless them, our soldiers are our means for attaining peace and freedom. Those on the left think of war as human sacrifice. Others think of war primarily as a means for peace and freedom, and honor and respect the sacrifices made.

Hannity, and the other 'idiots', think of war as a means for peace and freedom. Would he go to Iraq? Who knows. Would he send his kids to Iraq? Well, I think that would be illegal. For those who will not volunteer for service, maybe war scares them too much. What you're trying to say here is that the cause we are fighting for is not noble enough for all people to go and get enlisted. That is your opinion. But your point was not made.

Would I go? I was interested in enlisting back in 1998 but got the immediate DQ because of asthma. But I won't lie, the thought of war scares the hell out of me. That being said, I still think the battles we are engaged in today are worth dying for.
