None. Maybe a degradation in power dropping to a 65mm MAF.
See the stock MAF is 70mm (~58mm surface area considering the center bar)
Intake? You mean changing the filter type? ...or changing either (or both) upper & lower intake manifolds?
Probably a few ponies from going to an open air conical filter over the stock airbox.

Um the SVT has a stock 70mm MAF, I don;t think the SE does so I think it will be an improvement.
thanks eric

If you want gains you'd have to go with a 75mm +. When I installed my Pro-Flow MAF I noticed an awesome gain. Although, I have seen that there have been varying thoughts on a MAF, my experience was very positive.
Hope that helps

I've got a 70mm Pro-Flow mass air meter. Demon is right though to get the best gains go with an open element intake. However, with the 70 or 75 mm MAF you will get rid of the stock center bar that can cause turbulent air to enter the intake manifold. This way the open element and the mass air meter work together to make more power. As for just a MAF, I don't know if the power gains would be anything spectacular but you would pick up some.
When life throws you lemons.....Pucker up.

do any of you have the optimizer also? i am having trouble tuning the idle on it... Are you using a voltmeter to tune it like they tell you to? If so, you should have no trouble at all. Um the SVT has a stock 70mm MAF, I don;t think the SE does so I think it will be an improvement. Don't know about others, but my non SVT Duratec has a 70mm MAF cast in AL, same as the 5.0 Mustang motor for '95. Noticed that later models went to a plastic MAF. Must be cheaper for Ford to produce.

Do you have a laptop setup?
How are you reading the O2 sensors output? Do you know what voltage you are even shooting for?
Throwing a CEL at idle means you likely are LEAN as hell. That's engine damage for certain. These things are not toys... Without the proper equipment to tune it with I strongly advise you to take it off now!!!

my set-up....pro-flow maf & optimizer, kkm open intake & autometer air/fuel gauge....i was playing around with the optimizer and turned the idle control too much to lean by accident and stalled the car. i tuned it to whwere it was about right and took the fuses out to reset the computer and the cel went away....but came back 3 days later. does anyone know how it should be set up, before i put it on the car felt like or should i say it smelt like it was running rich (no cel though) i am running the car with the sho shop y and hi flow cats with a bassani exhaust. No headers as of yet and i haven't put in the throttle body or bat pipe yet (due to laziness). the pro-flow directions are retarded (no offense to anyone)...can anyone help me? thanks...
