i'd have to see some historical writings on the issue, but imo, the concept of a foreign-born president opens up a possibility for a operative/plant from another country to be groomed to debilitate the country. is it likely? no. possible? yes. and thats enough reason for me to leave the constitution alone.
fwiw, i like arnold. but i don't think he has that great of a grasp on world economics and foreign diplomacy. but then again, it's not like we've never had a puppet in office...
