99CSVT. 91k miles. $6900. The ad has been in the paper for over a week now, covering many large cities. Not a single call yet  Everything on the car is fine and works, just not the moonroof. Is my price too high?

just a touch, "most"people will see the word "contour" and the price and move on  p.s i'm real close to buying a 98.5 w/71k for 5800....just a thought

Wow. I can drop the price to around $6,500, but I'm already losing a grand on the car, I still owe $7,500.

you have to B patient. these are not exactly Acura RSXs that everyone wants! you have to wait for someone who appreciates the vehicle and knows it's potential to see it. it could take awhile. i have a 4x4 chevy truck ive trying to sell since i bought my csvt in May! with the gas prices this high most people want at 2WD. 4x4 customers are far and few between. PLUS, interest rates and incentives on brand new vehicles are unbelievable right now. that's why you see people rolling in brand new Escalades and H2s everywhere.

95mike tried selling his, worked his way down (6 months ago or so) from 11k with super charger (now in my car) to 6500. Still no buyers, I believe he decieded to just keep his car.

You have to understnad..as much as we love these cars..they are still Contours. And with the economy as messed up as it is..ppl just dont have the money to throw out for toys like this.

Yeah, as soon as I bought this SVT, another sprung up at a dealer (black, 98.5, 108K miles, $5800). Now there are 4 black SVTs (2 E0s, 1 E1, 1?) in town, and 1 silver (E0+)... And I always thought the black were more rare...
Oh, that same dealer that currently has that SVT also has a 2002 Saleen Mustang for sale, not a "fancy" one (this one's the base Saleen), but still is cool as hell. Wants $32K for it. Also has an SVT Focus ($?).

It's not just a toy. It gets good gas milage, can haul a family of four, and has a large truck space. It's a reasonable family car as well as economical. But on the other hand its appealing to a more sporty, younger crowd also. I know how well of a car this has been for me over the years, it's worth at least 6G's. I won't sell it for any less than 6K, if nobody buys it, I'll just keep it.

I think I've done my fun to my Contour until it dies out on me. I couldn't possibly get $6,000 for my 96 se, and I wouldn't want to mod it further.
Just my 2 cents
Hope it sells though.
