Try explaining this to the teachers who get paid far, far, far, far less to educate our children. Versus an athlete who makes millions in one season.

It's a damn shame.

Millionaire owners and millionaire players are screwin' with the game in a fight over money - I'm making a point of supporting the local teams this year with my attendance and my money. Saw my first Brampton Battalion's game and it was a lot more enjoyable than I expected.

I sent a letter to the Maple Leafs telling them the league can lock out the players as long as they like, but to not expect my support when they come back - and that's 6 season's tickets in my family talkin'

On the bright side, this lockout might actually be good for the grass roots side of the game if all NHL fans make a point of looking for hockey alternatives.

Nice to see someone who has their head properly attatched to their shoulders. I have been to many hockey games as that is the only sport I like. But to be paid millions, and then cry like a puss because your not making 2-10% more per contract is just bull how bout they take a pay cut. Pay some teachers their salary, and pay them the teachers salary. It's much much different when the shoe is on the other foot, I guarantee...
