Ford says the SVT can do a 15.7@88mp 1/4 mile. My best
run is 15.684@88.41mph. I've got a 100% stock 98.5 SVT
and run at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL.
I get 2.3-2.5 second 60foot times and hit 4th just before
the lights. No power shifting (in other words I use the
clutch to shift) and I drop the clutch around 3,300rpm.
3rd gear sucks, as it takes FOREVER thru 3rd. I need more
power!
19" rims will slow you down, assuming extra weight and larger
diameter tires.
