Like others have said, maintence is the key. My `96 has 137K and its trans just bit the dust. The parts car `97 has 73K and the engine was dead. My truck's drivetrain has over 200K on the clock, but the donor was pristine, even for a `93. Something had been done to it (engine/trans, not sure), but it lot drove nicely, and the compression was good so I didnt care about mileage.
