All I know is that I had the KKM intake for about 3 months before I decided to get a CAI, I noticed an instant difference. I went back to the KKM due to the fear of water damage and when I switched back the power loss was enough that I didn;t care about water damage and switched back. I've now had the CAI with absolutely no water induction for over a year and after careful study with the filter location I figured the design would only hurt if you were idiling in a puddle of water..
