Those plugs actually work great in other cars with "normal" ignition systems. The Zetec has two coils and the Duratec has three. The opposite plug gets chewed up fast with single platinum plugs (+4's, etc). That's why we have a NEED for double platinum plugs, like the Autolite APPxxx. APP764 for V6, APP5344 for Zetec.
