I can't imagine what would drive anyone to do that.
I can't stand to see an animal suffer. Frankly it scares the piss out of me.
I freeze up and cry like a sissy when I see one of my fish accidentally jump out and flop around on the carpet, and they're only a couple inches long. (someone else has to come to the rescue because I haven't been able to pick up a suffering fish yet)
