Some friends and I just installed MSDS headers onto two cougars Friday night into Saturday morning.

The first car took about 6.5 hours and the second one was about 5.5.

The front manifold/header is easy to remove/install since there really isn't anything in the way. On the rear manifold the upper o2 sensor and EGR connector are pretty annoying to get at, we used a small pipe wrench to get the EGR off. The back manifold/header the upper and lower right nuts and studs are very difficult to get to, but we didn't need to remove the alternator.

Once everything was on, both cars do have quite an increasein performance.. Not night-and-day, but definitely a nice jump.

Cougar #1 has an Injen Intake,MSDS Headers, and a custom 2,5" exhaust with a Dynomax turbo muffler.

Cougar #2 has a KKM Intake, IAT Mod, Fidanza Flywheel, Quaife LSD, Grizzly clutch, MSDS Headers, and a custom exhaust that starts at 2.25", goes to a borla muffler (we think), and about a foot after, expands to 2.5".

Both cars exhausts are now considerably louder, but not in a bad way. They now sound quite a bit deeper.

Racing the two cars, Cougar #2 wins by a long shot thanks to the additional tranny upgrades. Once the wheels hook up he's totally pulling away from Cougar #1.

Cougar #1 beat a stock Eagle Talon TSi AWD in a race... and before, it couldn't.


I have MSDS Headers on order (we ordered as a group.. but Marty only makes 25 at a time so mine are taking longer and should be to me by the end of december) Right now I have gutted precats which honestly gave my car no performance increase at all, but it did improve my gas mileage... Really hoping MSDS helps mine..

update - still waiting.. but since my cars broke i dont really have any use for em right now... would still like em tho, they'd look real nice sitting in my living room waitin for my car to come back
