The stock MAF is not the bottle neck of the intake system,
so replacing it (unless you go FI) is unnecessary.
The stock TB diameter (2.75" outside) will outflow the engine upto about 200BHP. And the stock MAF diameter (3" outside) is good to slightly more.
Remember things in the intake are sized to keep air movement and volume at a specific level.
I got mine to run the big injectors I have.
