this reminds me of a funny story. I was working as a claims adjuster for a worker's comp insurance company (quasi state co) and we had to rent a car for this injured worker so he could get to his doctor visits. he didnt have a car and this was cheaper than paying a cab to pick him up five days a week. anyway, this guy had this rental car for a few months and then moved back east....he took the car with him.....our company had to pay for the car and then try to recover the cost from his case. talk about "OWN3D!"
think that's bad, we had to BUY someone a BRAND NEW car (camaro) so he could drive from TEXAS to LA for his required dr. visits! he refused to fly and his only car was a broken down piece of sh*t. the doctor recommended (basically like a prescription) this for him so we had to buy it. people blame the injured workers and attorneys for the cost of WC but its really ALL from the doctor's. whatevery they say, we pay! (well, not me anymore
