If your e-test consists of them hooking a scan device to your car to check the computer, don't be surprised if they fail your car because it may not have completed the necessary self tests or that it has "pending" codes. These take a number of complete drive cycles to execute or a specific number of failed tests before either passing or turning on the CEL.
