I would have to agree that the remote starters are the way to go. This way you doent even have to step outside to start the car and it is pretty safe. Mine also came with a 2way alarm so it has extra protectiona nd I am alerted if the car is being messed with.

I paid $450 for the viper systema nd it came with install and a lifetime warranty on parts and labor. It was well worht the money as I have had it almost 3 years with no problems. The remote broke a few times and I all I did was bring it in and walked out with a new one. The remote is a $90 piece so the free warranty is a must!

Remote Start Heat: good in Minnesota Winters and ac on before you get there in the summer

Definitely one of my better investments!
