Exactly.
Running small displacement 4-cylinders and making only 300HP. Plus at 18-20psi... Small turbos...
Smaller displacement can get away with smaller turbos...
I ran my Conquest of 6 different turbos (Super-60 one of them - the second smallest next to the stock TD05-12A weed wacker model)
Maybe pulled 240-250HP @ 20-22psi & 7.5CR from 2.6l (4-cylinder but close displacement) Very small compressor!
My N/A SVT pulls just over 20lb/min now... (have seen 22lb/min with a 65mm TB - even untuned) A turbo that flows that at 13-14psi isn't going to help it any... Well, down low it should help torque...
At the low boost level required by the high CR the turbo would be well below it's efficiency zone and hardly pushing any CFM.
High boost pressure (and the intake temp increase) & high compression are not friends...
