It's an SVT. It probably had an open element air filter, and the dealer replaced it with the cheapest v6 filter box they could get.

Right. They probably had to take the open element filter off to get it through smog. I'm not sure if the wrong one is really any more legal.

The car really looks thrashed. I wonder what kind of a tough life it has led.

The entire interior looks worn. The rear seats look nearly as worn as the driver's seat. The steering wheel leather looks worn. The windshield is pitted.

Maybe it's mostly the light that makes it look rough, but it looks rough to me for a 65,000 mile car.
