What in the world is going on here? You guy's seem to think that dyno's are GODS word! You could not be more mistaken. Dyno's CAN BE and I stress CAN BE usefull if they are used properly. From what I gather you guy's are talking about chassis dyno's. Chassis dyno's are the most inaccurate of the dyno family. There are just too many variables to really hone in on what is going on with a high rate of accuracy. Can they be usefull? Yes they can, however you MUST observe a certain criteria[spelling] and follow a strict set of procedures. From what I'm gathering very few people on this board if any have done this. You know ALL of the pioneers of hot rodding built engines with increasing HP and TQ for many years WITHOUT dyno's. The fact that alot of guy's are having to hook your cars up to a machine so that they can tell if the $500 to $3000 worth of parts you bolted on are doing anything usefull for your engines at all, I think is VERY TELLING about alot of the aftermarket stuff that is being peddled out there today.
