I don't need an all season where I live, South Texas, but most summer tires usually are louder, harsher riding, wear out faster than others and some are just way expensive. I just got tired of that on the SE 50 EP's, a summer tire and these were some of the quieter, smoother, longer lasting, and not as high priced as some of the dedicated summer tires. It all has to do with want you want in a tire. For me, the Traction T/A's are a nice balance of what I wanted in a tire.
